An Evening of Hope

An Evening of Hope

"An Evening of HOPE: Films on Addiction and Recovery" featured films on addiction and recovery to inform addicts about recovery and hope - letting them know that there is better and happier way to live without using drugs and also to inform people who aren't addicts by presenting a different perspective on the disease of addiction, as told through the eyes of addicts.

"I have dedicated a good portion of my life to try and give back to the community and try and help addicts who suffer from the disease of addiction." says, Harry Fleckenstein. Fleckenstein founded "An Evening of HOPE" and produced "Generation RX," a documentary film that was distributed to all of the high schools in New Jersey and many rehab facilities, each of which also personally received a presentation followed by the film and a copy of the film.

Fleckenstein is a former addict who used drugs for 17 years."It's been 5 years since the last time I used and now I am a struggling Production Assistant/Associate Producer for DIY's 'Kitchen Impossible'." Fleckenstein is also an aspiring documentary filmmaker. "I am currently working on my third documentary on addiction and recovery. My goal in life is to give back to the world instead of taking. One thing I know that I have is Hope - and I want to give it to everyone who I can touch."
