Highlights

The Battle of Yorktown (or Siege of Yorktown) in 1781 was a decisive victory by General Washington and General Comte de Rochambeau's combined American and French forces. The nearly month-long fight in Southeastern Virginia was the last major battle of the American Revolutionary War. British General Charles Lord Cornwallis was forced to surrender on October 19, 1781.
