Prior to joining NBC 10 News, Shimell reported for FOX News in Philadelphia, and before that, he was a reporter and substitute anchor for WDAF-TV in Kansas City, Missouri. Shimell also worked as a political reporter for KFOR-TV in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
