The Warner Theatre, located in Torrington, Conn., originally opened in 1931 as a Warner Brothers movie palace. After being sold in the 1950's, the theatre began to see a steady decline in business, and decided to close its doors in 1981. The theatre reopened in 1983, and recently, it has significantly restored its art deco auditorium. The theatre now houses notable performers, a number of community theater productions, and an immensely popular art-in-education program.
