    No one does Fourth of July like Philadelphia!  Though sometimes, celebrating the birth of our nation in our nation's birthplace can be a little overwhelming so we took the leg work out of planning the holiday weekend for you.  We scoured the internet for the best events in the area and compiled this list to help you make the most of your Independence Day celebration!  From grillouts to fireworks and picnics to concerts, Philly is the place to be this weekend.  We've left no stone unturned but if you know of an event, parade, kissing booth, or popsicle stand that we've missed, please send us an email or write to us on our facebook page!

    Myphl17 has been the home of the Mummers Parade, a New Year's Day tradition for the past 15 years.  This year we were proud to air <b>Bacon Brothers: A Night with the Mummers</b> on December 5, 2009 Sat. 8:00 p.m to 10 p.m. The live benefit concert featured performances from The Bacon Brothers & Friends Live from the Electric Factory in Philadelphia.  Proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Mummers Parade.
