    WPHL TV seeks three multi-media journalists will develop news stories for a morning show through writing, shooting, voicing, editing and producing both on-air and web-related content.  Must be well versed in Final Cut Pro with ability to edit to deadline and embrace new technologies as they develop.  Evaluates news leads and tips to deliver story ideas.  Ability to shoot both video and still photography and transport the necessary equipment.  The successful candidate will have 1 or more years of experience, a demonstrated ability to write and edit.

    Doug Shimell serves as a reporter for PHL17 news at ten Powered by NBC10. He is also an Emmy-nominated news reporter, who has been with NBC 10 News at 11PM since 1995. Prior to joining NBC 10 News, Shimell reported for FOX News in Philadelphia, and before that, he was a reporter and substitute anchor for WDAF-TV in Kansas City, Missouri.
