Internships at myphl17


At myphl17, we offer interns a hands-on opportunity to apply the lessons learned in the classroom. Our size allows interns to receive one on one attention from our experienced broadcast professionals. The program offers students broad exposure to the daily operations of a local television station. Come prepared to work hard, learn a lot, and have fun!

Internships Semester Dates

SPRING SEMESTER: January-May (applications due Nov 1)
SUMMER SEMESTER: June-August (applications due April 1)
FALL SEMESTER: Sept-December (applications due July 1)

How to apply

To apply for an internship at myphl17, please submit the following:

1. Current resume including related coursework, other internships, certifications, work experience, expected graduation date and contact information.
2. Cover letter including the department where you want to intern and days and dates of availability
3. Completed myphl17 intern application. Click here to print the application.
4. Statement verifying eligibility to receive school credit for internship (minimum of one credit.)
5. To get the most out of your internship, we request that you be available to work no less than 12 hours a week with a maximum of 32 hours/wk.

Internships at myphl17 are awarded on a first come, first served basis. Applications are accepted up to six months in advance of the start of the semester. Interviews will be scheduled with prospective interns two months in advance of the start of the internship.
