Wing Bowl started in 1993 as a way to forget a particularly dismal Eagles season. A local radio station, WIP, decided to have a party anyway and the theme was two guys in a wing eating contest. Twenty years later? Wing Bowl 20 is an event that sells out the Wells Fargo Center, with almost 30 highly competitive eaters. Wing Bowl contestants take the stage after parading into the arena on themed floats escorted by "wingettes." Top eater and hottest wingette receive prizes.
