In the neighborhood around 2nd and Christian St., Chick Veasey invited a few of his friends to form a mummers group to be part of the Fancy Brigades. A few of the men who joined the original group were John Riecky, Billy Harper, Ed Campbell, Walt Otto, Bo Clancy (Bolinski), Tom Fraser and Al Jeskevich. Satin Slipper was well on its way.
