DTV is not HDTV

Hi-definition television is different than the DTV switch that occurred on June 12, 2009.

HDTV is short for high definition television. HDTV displays high-quality images and sound, features you won't find with a standard television. If you have an analog television, even if it is high-def, you will still need a digital converter box.
